We went to the National Harbor the Friday before Independence Day. It's on the other side of the Potomac from Old Town Alexandria. It was our first time there and we decided to take the ferry. Kayla loved standing at the front of the ferry, watching the water!
Jocelyn's first ferry ride:

Kayla's second ferry ride (her first was the ferry ride to Mackinac Island last 4th of July):

Once we got to the National Harbor, we had lunch, where Kayla had fun coloring with Bo-Bo.

Then, as soon as we were done eating, Mother Nature decided to be difficult and rained on us so we took cover and waited it out.

Kayla insisted on walking down the steps by herself and refused to let anyone carry her down. It took her awhile.

George's cousin's family from Taiwan also happened to be visiting DC this past weekend, so we met up with them. I had to look up the correct genealogy terms (in Chinese, everyone is either your "auntie," "uncle"), but Kayla's first cousin, once removed and her second cousin really had fun with Libby. Libby missed them when they left.

On Monday, we all went to the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. Kayla had tons of fun and kept saying, "airplane! airplane!" She and Jocelyn even sat through one of the IMAX movies. Here, Bo-Bo and Daddy try to get Kayla to pose for a photo.

Check out the rest of the photos on Flickr. We all had a great time and hope Grandma, Grandpa and Bo-Bo can visit again soon!
