After dinner the other day, we were all sitting out in the sun room. At one point, Kayla wanted George to pick up something on the floor. George, thinking he was taking the easy way out by not standing up, reaches for it while remaining seated on his chair. He winces and yells "Ouch!" He threw his back out. He warns me that once you're in your thirties, any sort of movement could send shooting pain up your back.
Kayla, all concerned, asks, "Daddy okay?" (She is big into kissing her ouchies all better.) I tell her, "Yeah, Daddy's just an old man." She says, "Ouchie, old man!"
funny we just had an 'old man moment' today in the im household too! guess there will only be more and more of those moments henceforth. one day you will know, karen...it's not pretty.
ReplyDeletelol. Oh, George. I feel for him, seeing as Mark got to go through that before he even hit thirty. He had an "old man" crisis at the ripe old age of 25. But the truth is, we sure aren't young anymore! Especially next to Kayla. =D
