Here is Lady (from Disney's Lady and the Tramp) at day care with her friends:

After dinner, Kayla got dressed up in her costume (again) to go trick-or-treating. But first, we had to take more photos with Libby (a.k.a. the "Tramp").

And then Lady was ready to go outside and waved bye-bye to everyone.

This was her first time trick-or-treating! We walked at a snail's pace since there were so many things to look at and got to oh, maybe seven houses. Not too bad for a first-timer. After the 5th house and seeing lots of other kids walking around the neighborhood, I think she finally got the concept of holding the bucket. The last door we knocked on for the night was our door and she had a confused look on her face when Daddy answered. Luckily, she recognized it was our house and went inside. It must be some sort of natural instinct (like spiders being born knowing how to weave a web) because as soon as we got inside, she put her bucket on the floor, sat down next to it and started going through the bucket's contents:
And then she discovered the Play-Doh one of our very nice neighbors gave her the second time we passed their house:
Lots of Halloween fun! Thank goodness she doesn't understand what candy is yet - Mom and Dad are busy looting through the bucket now that she is fast asleep for the night!
karen and george, kayla looks so cute in the lady costume!!!!! what a happy and cute baby! and i like the cupcakes you made...the bat ones are very neat.
