No More Secrets!

Parents of older kids... you need to give me tips on how to tell your kids what to keep in the family and what kinds of things are okay to broadcast to the public.

Since preschool let out, my mom has been very kind to babysit the girls. She stayed with us for two weeks in June, and is here again for the month of August while I'm working. The first week my mom stayed with us, Kayla and Jocie were super excited to wake up every morning to play with Ahma. Kayla even made my mom play LEGOs with her. They were playing with a set that included a house, LEGO mini figures and a car. She made my mom play one mini, while Kayla played the other. Kayla was the mom and Ahma was the dad. Here's the recap:

Kayla: It's morning time, we have to wake up!
Ahma: Okay. Gets her figurine out of the bed
Kayla: No no, the dad has to wake up the mom and say, "Kaaaaa-ren! Time to wake up!" and then the mom has to say, "Five more minutes!"

George has gotten into this habit of snoozing on the couch after dinner. I'm not sure if I should chalk it up to working late nights, or to food coma. Regardless, he's been taking naps on the sofa immediately after dinner. Today, Kayla tried waking him up (it was his turn to clean the dishes).

K: Daddy, wake up!! You have to do the dishes:
G: Two more minutes.

Two minutes later...
K: Daddy, it's been two minutes. Wake up!!
G: One more minute.
K: Daddy, you're just like Mommy, but in the afternoon!!!!
