Moments
I love my girls. Little girls are so sweet! I love how affectionate they are and how generous they are with their hugs. Especially Jocelyn. She enjoys cuddling, snuggling and hugging. Kayla can be affectionate too, but more so with George because she's daddy's little girl. Jocelyn knows that she's still "Mommy's baby" and will still come to me with arms outstretched when I pretend to be looking for my baby.
The girls are affectionate towards each other as well. Kayla might be crying over something (usually when she isn't getting her way) and Jocelyn will sometimes stop what she's doing, look over at Kayla to assess the situation, and get a tissue for her. Sometimes she give Kayla a hug. It works the other way around too. Last week, George had to do the bedtime routine by himself while I was out at work. Both girls were crying at one point, and George had to raise his voice, which made them cry more. He had to step out of the room to fill up the humidifier and by the time he walked back into the room, they had both stopped crying and Kayla was dabbing Jocelyn's eyes with a tissue. I love how they look after each other and hope this continues even as they get older and the hormones start raging.
There are definitely lots of moments when they don't get along and fight. Jocelyn doesn't put up with Kayla's antics and stands up for herself. (Maybe because she doesn't have the verbal skills yet to express herself?) Although Kayla is about five inches taller, if Jocelyn is not happy with what Kayla is doing, she is not afraid to shove and push her big sister! Jocelyn is pretty strong too and has knocked Kayla down many times. Kayla then fake cries, but she's usually the one egging Jocelyn on, so in a way she deserves it!
