Well, it seems that the girls have gotten into their bedtime routines now. ::knocks on wood:: For the past two nights, George and I have successfully kissed each girl good night, reassured Kayla that we would check up on her later, closed the door (but left it open a crack) and the girls have fallen asleep relatively quietly and quickly.
Tonight, George and I made it downstairs when he heard Kayla calling,
Mommy... Mooooommmy... MOOOOOMMMMYYY!!!
George went upstairs and asked, What's wrong?
Can you please check up on us? Kayla asked, sobbing. I forgot to ask earlier.
Of course we will, sweetie!
Okay, thank you.

I picked up both girls after work today. Kayla's preschool is closer to my school, and Jocelyn's day care is closer to our home, so I picked Kayla up first. After we hit the road, I explained to her that we were going to pick up Jocie. Most of the conversation on the ride home (okay, so only one person really did the talking) was Kayla solemnly telling me, I love Jocie, I love when she picks me up from preschool. I really miss Jocie. I love to play with Jocie at home with the toy kitchen and cook together. I love to share my room wiss her.
