The cow cupcakes were well-received at day care. A success, if I must say so myself. Except that the birthday girl didn't quite know what to make of the cow staring back up at her:

An adult had to smudge frosting on Jocelyn's face to make it appear that she enjoyed her cupcake.

Okay, well eventually she got the hang of it and slowly ate her cupcake. Most of the time, someone was stuffing it into her mouth.

Kayla really enjoyed eating her cupcake. And got mad when her cupcake was all gone and we wouldn't give her another one. I had to whisper into her ear that we were going to eat more the next day on Jocelyn's actual birthday. She seemed okay with that answer. Here are my two adorable cupcake faces:

Ai-yi and Ben Ben came for the weekend to celebrate Jocelyn's birthday. When we whipped out the extra cow cupcakes, Jocelyn had no trouble remembering what to do this time. She flapped her arms in excitement when the cupcakes were brought out and could hardly wait to dig in!

Jocelyn's big birthday present from us was a slide. (Okay, okay, so technically it was for BOTH of the girls. But we did make it very clear to Kayla that it was Jocelyn's slide and that she would have to take turns.) As you can see, Kayla was way more excited than Jocelyn when we revealed the slide.
Thankfully, Kayla has done an excellent job sharing and taking turns with Jocelyn.
Jocelyn now will crawl over to the slide and attempt to crawl up on it, indicating that she wants a ride down! And she LOVES it.
i do believe that jocelyn is the most adorable cupcake eater ever! such big pieces of cake for such a little mouth.
